CaseWare Working Papers | How do I resolve error "Internal error has occurred"?

An error message (Internal error has occurred) when opening the financials or getting a new version of the Notes to the Financial Statements. how do I resolve this?

  Answer:

Go into the client folder via Windows Explorer:
  1. Right click the select View | Details
  2. Arrange Icons by clicking on Type in the folder column headings
  3. Select the CDX files
  4. Then delete the CDX files from the client folder

Alternatively should the above steps not resolve the error, you may use the following step:
  • Create a new file from client data (Click here for guidance on this process)
