CaseWare Working Papers | What to do when a ERROR: Btrieve code|2 appears when importing from Pastel?

When importing from Pastel Partner 14.0.01, I get the ERROR: Btrieve code|2, how do I resolve this?

  Answer:

The error is caused when the Pastel file being accessed is saved on the server. To resolve this you will need to move the file to your desktop and import the file from this new location.

NOTE: To allow CaseWare Working Papers to import from Pastel Version 14 please ensure that you have run the direct import hotfix.

Selecting Version 14.01 on CaseWare Working Papers allows for versions 14.01-14.07 to be imported into CaseWare Working Papers, you will then be able to select Version 14.01 if you have a Pastel version higher than this.

If you are still experiencing the error after performing the above selection, please export your data from Pastel into Excel and follow the process to import the data into CaseWare Working Papers from Excel.
