FAQ

What to do when your note references are not printing on the financial statements?

Published:  16/05/2023
My note references are not displaying on the financial statements or when printing, how do I resolve this?

  Answer:

Your note references may not be printing for 2 reasons:
  1. Your notes could be off – then you will only see {N#} references
  2. The print profile selected is set to not show note references

If your note references are not printing due to the notes being off then use the following alternatives to resolve:
  1. Turn on your note to see the references for the lines with balances.
  2. To turn on all notes with balances on: Go to Options | Turn on notes with balances.
  3. Turn on notes individually: Go to the note by using Bookmarks or by right-clicking on the line item and select Jump to note. Right-click on the note and click on On. The note will expand and be referenced with that reference appearing next to the line item on the relevant statement.

If your note references are not printing even if the corresponding note is switched on, then use the following steps to resolve:
  1. Go to Options | Print Profiles  to see which profile is selected; it will be the ticked profile. If none is selected, select one of the profiles (whichever most accurately describes the current stage of the set of financials).
  2. Then navigate to Options | Print Profiles | Edit print profiles or Document | Configuration | Printing This will allow you to change the print settings of the selected profile.
  3. Ensure that the profile is selected under Print Settings and then tick the Note references checkbox and click on ‘’OK’’ to save your changes.

You can change any one of the profiles by selecting the profile under Print Settings. The above can also be done to show or hide your leadsheet references.
