What to do when the Tax Computation profit does not agree to the profit on the Income statement?
Answer:
It is strongly recommended to always be on the latest version of the tax module.
If there is an issue with the module, always update first before applying any other recommended resolution.
NOTE: This is only applicable to the Corporate Tax Module for small business corporations
The profit figure in the income statement should pull through by formula. If it does not, ensure the template is properly licensed first and then replace the module by copying it from the template. Use the following alternate options depending on which is applicable:
When the Tax Module has not been activated with the correct code:
- To activate the module, click on the license information on the freeze pane just below your version number.
- You will be prompted for the activation code, enter it in and click on "OK"
Copying the Tax module from the template:
- Right click on the section header (the blue CaseWare title indicating the start of a new page) in the financial statements.
- Select "Get new Version"
- Select "Library"
- The visual merge will appear showing you what the section looks like now in the top pane and the original content in the bottom pane.
- Click "Replace’’ to finish.
The differences will not be visible till you open the CaseView document.
