iXBRL | When tagging the financial statements and notes, can I ignore circles where there are no balances?

When tagging the financial statements and notes, can I ignore circles where there are no balances?

  Answer:

The recommended practice is to tag in Review mode (Document | Reviewing enabled). This way you only see the line items that need to be tagged. Should a line item (whether it has a balance or not) be circled while tagging in review mode then it needs to be tagged.
