What to do if you get an error message reading “Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed” and require the ‘Oracle OLEDB Provider

  Answer:

Should you get an error message reading “Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.”
Please contact your Accounting software provider and request them to install the ‘Oracle OLEDB Provider’ at the site, alternatively:
  • For Caseware Working Papers 2017:  
click here to download the 64-bit ODAC 12.2c Release 1 (12.2.0.1.0) for Windows x64
  • For Caseware Working Papers 2016:  
click here to download the 32-bit ODAC 12c Release 4 and Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio (12.1.0.2.4)

You will be redirected to the Oracle Data Access Components (ODAC) with Oracle Developer Tools for Visual Studio page where you can download the driver file.
