Probe | What is the cause of my Probe document being locked?

What is the cause of my Probe document being locked?
Answer:
The locked sign appears on the Probe document for several reasons:
The document may be opened by another user (Smart Sync Environment)
The document may be checked out or signed out by another user.
The Probe license may be expired and you need to update the license on your machine.
The document may have been marked as read-only after sign-off using the option available under
Tools | Options | Roles
