How do I capture amounts on Tax Accounts?
Answer:
Tax Accounts
Tax accounts are only for internal usage, there is no communication between the Tax Practitioner and SARS through TaxWare about this.
You may, however generate letters that you may send to SARS for payment schemes.
You cannot see the Tax liability if Provisional tax returns are not Authorized/Approved or if Assessments have not been created.
You cannot Process or View Tax accounts in bulk for all taxpayers, you need to do it individually for all taxpayers.
There’s two types of accounts you can view:
Provisional Account:
which is for all approved Provisional returns prepared for that taxpayer
Assessed Account:
which is for all Assessments that are created.
To view Tax Accounts, expand Tax Account as shown below:
To mark as paid/to record a payment, do the following:
Click on the box next under the Paid column as shown below and fill in the payment screen accordingly
Click
PAID |
Enter the amount paid as well as any interest and penalties if necessary
Give it a Journal for maintaining record and receipt date | click
OK
