How to add a new mapping number

NB! Kindly note, newly created mapping numbers does not automatically pull through to financial statements. You need to ensure that you insert a table row linked to the mapping number or insert the mapping number where applicable

1. In Caseware Working Papers, select Account and scroll down to Assign mapping numbers

2. Under mapping numbers, right click on mapping item you'd like to add to and then select new mapping number
3. Name the new mapping number then click on ellipses thereafter (see arrow):

4. Copy and paste new name twice with a vertical bar in between as shown below (ensure there’s a single space before and after the vertical bar) | Click OK
5. Click on Add thereafter and then OK

6. Click on Apply in mapping screen then click OK
7. Close mapping screen entirely and re-open it again. Hold down Ctrl + F and search for newly created mapping number:
8. Proceed to map to newly created mapping number.
