To record an event, click on any Record Risk button or the Record button
Then click on the type of event you want to record (for example Subsequent Event).
The relevant record events screen will open where you can record your event.
Note: For further details on the column information required, please refer to help guide for the document you are working with or recording the event for:
|Source||You can double-click on the source input cell to insert the previous document you worked on or type in the source document.||By inserting references to source documentation of information obtained from other working papers you ensure that your file is logical.|
|Event or condition||You have to insert a description of the event identified.||Your detailed description of the event here will assist in future evaluation of the event or condition.|
|Trust account treatment||Here you should provide information about the treatment of the event in the trust account(s). ||Your documentation of additional observations here will assist in later evaluation of the event.|
|Conclusion||Evaluate if the trust account treatment of the events is acceptable and conclude thereon. ||You will be able to consider the conclusions reached in determining the final auditor’s report.|
|Ref.||Insert a reference, if necessary, to supporting documentation, you can click on the dropdown box to reference to a document already in your CaseWare file.||By inserting references to work performed on other working papers you ensure that your file is logical.|
After recording your event, click Submit to submit your event to your database of events.
