Highlights of July 2024 release

Assurance

We are implementing the changes to ISA 600(R) into our July release.

Probe

For the first time ever, Probe Audit will now include ISA 600 content to facilitate group audits.

2 New engagement types will be added:

• Group Audit – Single entity with multiple business units.
• Group Audit – Multiple entities.

4 New Documents will be added:

• 10.50G - Plan extent of risk assessment procedures.
• 11.20G – Identification of components.
• 12.20G – Further audit work at component level.
• 12.23 – Component performance materiality.

Various other changes to planning and work program procedures.

Audit International

Removal of previous ISA600 Group documents.
Integrated ISA 600(R) procedures throughout documents.

New documents:

• Worksheet - Selecting a component auditor.
• Worksheet - Evaluating the work of a component auditor.
• Group audit - Component materiality.

Enhance client communications and document request management.

Client Inquiries is a client collaboration app that makes it possible for firms and individual engagement teams to securely communicate with clients and manage requests smoothly.

Sophisticated checklist management software offers a built-in client query system, ensuring security when sending, receiving and storing data. With it, your team can request information and documents, track client activity and exchange feedback seamlessly.

IFRS and SME Financial Statements Updates

• Updated assurance reports.
• Amendment to IAS 1 - Non-current liabilities with covenants (IFRS only).

Caseware Working Papers 2024

Installation

• Easier installation experience by removing the need to enter the installation code for connector when installing.

User experience improvements

• Improved experience when opening a file whose path is too long.
• Lockdown – make files read only.
• Improved the importing of map numbers to not create phantom map numbers which are not used anywhere.

Firm template guide

• Ability to turn on all notes and accounting policies.
• Added new automated tests.
• Multiple other smaller improvements.

Improved data retention

• Update and File new from existing.
• Cells changed via right click properties will be retained from subsequent versions.

Speed of Caseware

• We have decreased the opening time of the financial statements.
• We have improved the speed in multiple areas of Probe.
• Introducing a comprehensive Speed Guide to help you optimize your Caseware file performance. Available from this release, this guide is part of a multi-release initiative to enhance Caseware speed. We invite clients to collaborate with us in refining this guide.
