How do I resolve Error 8: Local String Variable Error?
Answer:
Go into the client folder via Windows Explorer
Right-click
View | Details
Arrange Icons by clicking on
Type
in the folder column headings
Delete the
Caseware File
“ClientFilename”.ac
Then locate the file
Cwin32.exe
from the Caseware folder (For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Caseware)
Copy this
ac file
into the corrupt client folder
Rename the
ac file
to read the client name.ac
Then open the file in Caseware Working Papers.
