How do I correct the errors which I receive when sending batch email to clients?

  Answer:

When you get the above error, you must check the following things

  1. First, check if you have the correct SMTP mail server. You check this by opening File | Client batch Email\Print | Email Settings
  2. Second, check if you have the mail server authentication Username and Password. You check this by opening File | Client batch Email\Print | Email Settings
  3. Third, query this with your Internet Service provider (ISP) to increase your relay time for sending emails. The reason for this is because it may take 2 seconds to send one email, but in Caseware Time sends emails as a batch and a batch can be about 50 emails all at once, and it wont be possible for 50 emails to be sent out in about 2 seconds. So it will be advisable to get your ISP to increase your relay time or get an unlimited relay time for sending out email.
  4. Fourth, check on the error logs and confirm the point where you started to get the errors, the last email Caseware Time tried to send an email to, it has a error or is not a valid email address, so all the email addresses that follow after the invalid one Time will see it as invalid email addresses
