TaxWare | How can I capture carried forward amounts on TaxWare for Annual Returns and provisional returns?

  • There appears to be no field where the assessed loss brought forward can be entered in the annual assessment for individuals. How is this accommodated? 
  • My provisional tax return also fails to pick up the accumulated assessed losses brought forward. Please advise 

  Answer:

There is a section in TaxWare that lets users input the Carried Forward Amounts.

On the Taxpayer Information screen, under the Tax Information tab, click on Carried Forward Amounts… as illustrated on the screenshot below.

Once you have clicked on the Carried Forward Amounts bar, you can fill in the tabs and click apply to save the changes.

This is where you capture the Carried Forward Amount.
