TaxWare | How do I resolve the Parse Error I received when exiting the Individual Tax Module (ITM) in TaxWare?

I receive the following Parse Error with the following details when exiting the Individual Tax Module (ITM) in TaxWare. How do I resolve this?

  Answer:

First set TaxWare to run in your current operating system’s compatibility mode.
  • Find the TaxWare icon on your desktop, Right click and select Properties in the options list

  • On the TaxWare Properties window select the Compatibilty tab

  • On the Compatibility tab please Change settings for all users Tick the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” checkbox and select the Operating System type from the drop down list
  • Tick the “Run as an administrator” in the Priviledge Level
  • Click the Compatibilty for all users button
  • Click the Apply  button to Save the changes
  • Click OK on all windows to close them

Verify or Change your computer’s Regional setting to the following:
  • To get to to your computer’s regional settings, Click the Start button and select Control Panel on the start menu

  • In the Control Panel menu, Click the  Clock, Language and Regional option

  • In the Clock, Language and Regional window select the Change the date, time or number format option

  • In the Language and Regional window, select the English (South Africa) from the drop-down list under the word Format:
  • Click the Additional Settings… button locate at the bottom of the window

  • In the Customize Format window select the Numbers tab
  • Fill in the concerned fields as per the screen shot below and click the Apply button after making the changes.

  • In the Customize Format window select the Currency tab
  • Fill in the concerned fields as per the screen shot below and click Apply:

  • Click the Apply button after making the above changes.
  • In the Customize Format window select the Administrative tab
  • Click the Copy settings… button

  • In the Welcome screen and new users accounts setting window
  • Tick the two check boxes in the Copy your current settings to: section and click OK

  • Close all the Control Panel windows and reopen TaxWare, the error message should resolved upon exiting the Individual Tax Module
