How do I create a new taxpayer of Special Economic Zones (SEZ)?
Answer:
What is the new company type for Special Economic Zones (SEZ)?
We have introduced the company type to accommodate companies that fall within Special Economic Zones into TaxWare. As all qualifying companies operating within a Special Economic Zones (SEZ) benefit from a tax rate of
15% you will now be able to perform Provisional and Annual Return calculations using this rate from TaxWare from the 2017 tax year onwards.
What am I able to do with this entity type?
You will be able to perform all functions with the SEZ Company entity type just like you would with all current entities in the system. This includes:
- Bulk/Single creation of Tax Years (2017 onwards)
- Bulk/Single Processing of Provisionals
- Bulk/Single Registration – The Corporate taxpayer type is the information that gets submitted to SARS and not SEZ Company
- Preparation of Correspondence letters
