Allow apps to communicate through Windows Defender Firewall
Click
Allow another app
| then
Browse
Browse to Caseware Location
C:\Program Files (x86)\Caseware
| Select
cwin64.exe
| click
Open
Caseware Working Papers will be added to Apps, click the
Add button, and
repeat the above steps to allow the following apps to communicate through Windows Defender Firewall
:
cvwin64.exe
cwcef.exe
CWPipeAccess.exe
TWAINProxy32.exe
After completing the above, also ask your IT administrator to add the Caseware folder to the anti-virus exclusion list
Folder location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Caseware
Instructions:
Guidelines on adding Caseware Working Papers to Windows Firewall (Whitelist) to improve update speed.
Please note: You need to have Administrator rights on your machine to perform the following steps. You may be required to request Administrator rights from your IT Administrator/department.
Open
Windows Control Panel
Click
Windows Firewall
or
Windows Defender Firewall
Click
Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall
