How to copy components from another file or template

Prerequisites:

  1. Ensure you have a backup of the file and close your financial statements in CaseView.


Copy components

  • Select File | Copy Components
  • The Copy Components Wizard will appear | Select the type |  Next
  • Select the tab for file, template or recent to select the file that you are copying from
  • Then click on Next

  • Select The following components  | Tick the checkbox of the components you would like to copy from this file.
  • A view of the document manager will appear in the right window, however this will be greyed out until the above steps is performed
  • Select Deselect All | Then tick the checkboxes the documents you would like to copy. ( * NOTE: Click the Deselect All button to ensure that pre-selected documents are deselected)

  • Once the components and documents have been selected click Next
  • A Clearing Components section will appear, to select which components you wish to clear in the destination file. Do not tick any of the boxes.
  • Click Next | Finish

  • A dialogue will appear requesting to login to the file you wish to copy from.
  • Please login the requested file with the relevant login credentials (The default login credential is sup for both the User Name and password).
  • Click OK once
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not click finish multiple times while file is copying required files this may harm the file as it is still working in the background. When it is done it will automatically open the document.
